What did Alexander Calder invent?  Students discussed the life and artwork of famous sculptor, Alexander Calder.  He was interested in movement, balance, and simplicity.

    2. We filled little ketchup cups with clay. While the clay was wet, students stuck the pipe cleaners into the clay and we let it dry like that. Then they painted them later. The color pieces are cut outs of soft foam found at a craft store. Pipe cleaners and poster board for the base
